It was a hot, humid day for the women once again during the final round of the HSBC Champions Tournament in Singapore. So much, in fact, that many players were even bringing umbrellas to stand under and were giving up their post-round routines to sit in front of air conditioners. The final grouping of day four consisted of World No. 1 Lydia Ko, first-timer Sung Hyun Park, and leader Michelle Wie. Wie had played well all weekend, and continued to do so until the fifth hole, where she missed a one-and-a-half-foot putt for par, followed by another short miss for bogey. She dropped back to -14 overall, and lost her solo lead. By hole 7, there was a four-way tie for first, amongst Canadian Brooke Henderson, Ariya Jutanugarn, Michelle Wie, and Sung Hyun Park, who was making her LPGA debut. The real story, however is how South Korea's Inbee Park came from three shots behind after Saturday to take the lead. Inbee made an astounding 8 birdies in 10 holes in round four, plus more on the inward nine, one of which came from a 50-footer on 17. It was her first tournament in six months, and she managed to shoot a new course record - 64, and she's the only person to have her name on the trophy twice. After an exciting tournament, it was Inbee Park who sped past her competitors on Sunday and emerged with a win. I can't wait to watch the next tournament - the Bank of Hope Founders Cup from March 16-19!
